Ingredients
Diatomaceous Earth (DE)
Diatomaceous earth is made from the chalky white powder left behind by diatoms (a type of algae). It is often used because of how many bugs and insects loathe it and will avoid contact with it. Internally it is used as a de-wormer, externally it can be used to make common bugs to domestic animals avoid it.
Neem
Neem has been used in many cultures to fight parasites, fungi, viruses, and bacteria. It is effective on domestic animals for turning common bugs, insects, and skin parasites from their biggest fan to their least. Several studies show it to be more effective than DEET containing repellents at deterring common insects. Neem hydrates the skin and hair to counteract the drying effects of Diatomaceous Earth.
Yarrow
Yarrow is often used as it is excellent for soothing the skin and can help provide relief from the itching and inflammation caused by flea bites.
